Since Sarin don't manufacture artificial industrial diamonds, I don't think this is an issue.

On another note, Sarin has fixed the XD date for its 4Q 2012 dividend and it will be paid on 17 May 2013 if approved during the AGM.

It is pretty transparent that they disclosed the pay package of the entire management team and the board of directors remuneration in the AGM Notice (pg 5 - 7). Note that while the AGM is held in Israel, a live conference will be held in Singapore simultaneously and shareholders can query the Management etc but cannot vote - details on pg 3 of AGM Notice.

Question is, does synthetic diamond require refining and certification?

Such as below (quoted from Sarin AR2012):
(d) We also offer the Diamond Assay Service (DAS), an online
subscription service for anyone who trades polished diamonds.
It helps ascertain whether a diamond is a real diamond (albeit
without differentiating between a natural or synthetic stone
and without identifying treatments), ascertains its geometric
parameters and Cut grade, optionally issues printed reports
and can propose possible solutions for re-cutting, so as to
derive the optimal potential value of the stone.

But I am kind of confused by this:
helps ascertain whether a diamond is a real diamond (albeit
without differentiating between a natural or synthetic stone

If it is real means it is not synthetic right??

Change from real to natural then.

The fact of the matter is that a diamond made in a laboratory is every bit as real as a naturally-occurring diamond.

A "fake" diamond is not a diamond at all but some other mineral, commonly cubic zirconia.

De Beers (and all its jeweler partners) do not want people to buy man-made diamonds, because the cost of such diamonds is a fraction of the cost of naturally-occurring diamonds. If people started buying man-made diamonds in any significant volume it would bring diamond prices way down, destroying De Beers and all the jewellers. So they want to market naturally-occurring diamonds as "real" diamonds and man-made diamonds as "synthetic" diamonds, to create the impression that man-made diamonds are somehow inferior. This is rubbish. "Synthetic" is not a wrong description but these diamonds are every bit as real as those mined from the ground.

Anyway, diamonds are not as rare as their prices might imply. They are expensive because women the world over have collectively bought into the marketing delusion that "A Diamond is Forever". It takes forever to pay for one, sure. But that's about it. De Beers controls mine output in order to keep supply low and thus prices high. Basic monopoly economics.

Synthetic and natural diamond have the same chemical composition, they are technically the same thing.

ic, thanks for the info.
In this case, the one way to tell if it is natural or synthetic is to get the database from producers (in this case De Beers is the natural data source).

Probably De Beers will be more than happy to provide the data to Sarin? (since they will be the main beneficial anyway)

Anyway, stretching a bit, is there a synthetic gold as well?
If so, same like printing money by gov?
