Easy money has been entering the stock market for quite some time, particularly in the US. The stock market is definitely heating up. In his book "One Up On Wall Street", Peter Lynch said that if people who usually don't talk about stocks but talking all of a sudden, perhaps it's time to get out of the market.
But as value investors, we primarily take care of our downside (protection of capital) as the upside will take care of itself sooner or later. It is also futile to predict directions of the stock market. Just spot out a good company with great fundamentals and stick with it. If it goes lower, buy more.

You are right. If you hear your barber, taxi driver and hawker start talking about stocks. Likely to be in euphoria stage. A bubble could have formed. It could be a signal to profit take on some counters.

This reminds me of the pre-crisis period in China when a cleaning lady was hailed for her stock market investing genius. Not sure if her portfolio held up in the subsequent decline.
