One of the problem in SG context while applying value investing is that it is very hard to find a company that got economic moat, any one could share about the view on this?

Economic moat.Example, a strong brand name. There are a number of Singapore listed companies with a strong brand.

You are talking about semcorp Marine or Semcorp Industries. What About Old Chang Kee. as an economic Moat. lon queues & in F&B business. witj inc population the revenues are sure to go up.

example are telcos, 3 of them only.. all same major shareholder which is garmen
they give lousy service, consumers also no choice

Dairy Farm - I think even if Singapore govt collapse, u will still need to go to their supermarket

Supermarkets are selling daily necessities. Another example is Sheng Siong.
These counters are defensive by nature. |
