Yes, definitely...now PR buyers cannot sublet...many rushing to sell..supply exceeded demand..price falls buyers wait, price falls further..hehe..

Actually it is still too early to determine if the measures can have a long term effect of dampening the animal spirits.

I thought the cooling measures at the end of 2011 were powerful, but it worked for only a short while and people had forgetten about it totally

Why this round measure 1 of it that hitting PR release just before BE...to stable property price and make voters happy lar...

Many PR buy HDB resale to sublet, now cannot sublet whole house income not enough to pay loan, so how? sell lor...well I do not have a crystal ball just use logic to analyses...this will also deter PR from buying HDB resale, they are the culprit that recently causes the surge in HDB resale prices....

Seem like askers most are ppty investors, hehe..steady SG ppty not easy to crush and govt is the biggest land supplier is the first not want this to happen...sell expensive land and collect higher stamp duty ..win, win, laughing all the way to the bank.

I still think this 7th round of cooling is still useless. As long as interest rates dont rise to above 3.5%, the party will still goes on.

I went out with some friends today. One mention his sister last week bought a 4rm HDB at Boon Keng for 600k of which 100k was the COV. The flat is at 3rd level. Crazy. His father might have foot the COV bill.
