yes, it would be a good acquisition for SPH if they can take in Kingsmen... agreed! Big Grin
1) Try NOT to LOSE money!
2) Do NOT SELL in BEAR, BUY-BUY-BUY! invest in managements/companies that does the same!
3) CASH in hand is KING in BEAR!
4) In BULL, SELL-SELL-SELL!

If they were to privatise it, it would be a loss of a great company for us investors. Sad

SPH currently has an Events arm "Sphere Exhibits" that organises events and exhibitions as well as large scale conferences in Singapore and the region.

We know SPH has to find avenues of growth to counter decline of its core print business, and Kingsmen is a well-run, leading company in this growing industry. I believe Kingsmen's owners also indicated they are open to selling their company if the price is right.

im vested and would love to have someone offer a good bid for kingsmen. but i think it's ridiculous for sph to acquire kingsmen.
sph is so much bigger than kingsmen and have a lot more financial muscle. look at their market cap compared to kingsmen!
they can undercut kingsmen to get market share if they want to. and im sure they can do it until kingsmen go bust to get all the market share they want!
it's all about pricing at the end of the day.

Hello all,

I've just done a post on Kingsmen on my blog. You all know far more about the company than me, I'm sure, so I'd be grateful for any opinions you guys have. I'm sure there's loads that I've missed.

Another theme park in Iskandar.
Double the size of Lego Land Malaysia.

Thanks for the link, but so far there is no evidence of Kingsmen bidding for Malaysian theme parks.

If I am not wrong, Kingsmen did not do any work on Legoland in Johor Bahru. Smile

Not sure whether they did, but maybe amount not significant.
They did state in one of the quarterly report that they were pursuing Legoland job.

"In addition, the team is also currently pursuing contracts for theme parks and attractions in the region including Shanghai Disneyland, Universal Studios Korea, Singapore River Safari, Legoland and Kidzania in Malaysia, Madame Thao’s Happy Land in Vietnam, Imagic in Brazil, Fushun Dreamworld in China and Samsung Everland in Korea."

Ohh ya, and in separate note, Kidzania Singapore is currently work-in-progress in Sentosa.
Maybe they get some works there as well?

Thanks, I must have missed it out.

Yes, they may have got some parcels of work. Will not be sure till we see their next report.
