why not just use standard chartered online trading?
at least your money is much safer.
how many countries do you trade? US market alone has thousands of stocks in various industries.

Any buddies here have been using IB so a few years now?
Can share experience?
I am asking this and not scb. Just in case that scb shuts down, its better to have an alternative.
I have Optionsxpress. The broker is steep.
Looking for cheap and good.

IB reported loses of usd100mil from the SNB CHF fallout. Plus they do not have an onshore presence.
SCB so far still the best but it is uncertain if they will close that down,
The next best alternative is Saxo.

ETRADE has an office locally? Compare to SAXO which is better?
WB:-
1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.
Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.
NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

Interactive brokers have recently announced opening of Singapore office; hence, now you can finally trade local stocks on IBKR.
Great news

Where to check it's fees on custody service

If you are referring to Custodian/Custody Fees that traditional foreign brokerage charge, they do not charge any. But they do have minimum activity fee of US$10 per month, for accounts <USD$100k (equity + cash):
