Excel spreadsheet for financial information on SGX listed stocks?

Dear All,

I was wondering if there is any way to import updated financial data (e.g. revenue, net profit, current asset, liabilities, operating cash flow etc.) of all the companies listed on the SGX into an excel spreadsheet table.

Since many of us here are value investors, I believe many people would probably have their own excel spreadsheet with such financial data of some companies. I have a few of such spreadsheets myself too, but don't you find manually updating your spreadsheet a chore? There must be a more efficient way for us to get such data for our own valuation calculations.

I believe many would also appreciate having a spreadsheet with all the necessary financial data so they can easily use different valuation methods to find potential undervalued shares.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. Do you mean friends from SMU may have access to the subscribed services from bloomberg/capitalq which subscribers can import a variety of financial data for a list of companies in SGX into excel?

After login there is quite a good section under second tab called analytics with updated quarterly and annual report financial numbers from Income Statement , Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement. Also other info like management team, peer comparison, even technical analysis and charts etc...

Personally I keep a big list of manually updated companies on an excel sheet under google drive so I have access to it and can share it online. If you find updating and looking at quarterly / annual reports a chore then perhaps you need to sit back and evaluate your investment style. Probably buying an index fund at regular intervals would be less of a chore and probably similar returns over the long term.

I only update companies on my "want to buy list" regularly, those other not on my buy radar or already on my portfolio i just update whenever or annually.
