Wow thanks for the info. Its great news. I have attached the PDF here for other VB's to Download. So a standard high rise apt costs $180-$201 psf. Now at least when we are charged $300-320/psf for our HDB flats, we know where approx majority of it goes Smile

Thanks for the info, shn!

CY09: I am also vested in KSH. Do you have a breakdown of the estimated profit from its many joint venture projects?

I read one UOB report but it was last year's which says at that time profits not booked was about $124 million. Since then maybe about $100m is left unbooked. OCBC report on the company does not seem to have figures for its various projects.

I like the stock beause the earnings for next 3 years is visible and so does the dividend yield. I am hoping that KSH will also surprise with it's China project in Gaobeidian and I like it is tying up with Chip Eng Seng in Sengkang project.

Exposure to China property is a big risk especially Hebei.

Gaobeidian (Chinese: 高碑店; pinyin: Gāobēidiàn) is a county-level city in south-central Hebei province, People's Republic of China.

Another fine example China people build houses like building LEGO.

What is the impact if project fails? Surprise on the downside??

Beijing itself has 21m people despite being in Hebei. That is almost as many people as in Australia. Maybe the China people are okay with pollution perhaps. And the 13 developers in the funding scheme - KSH not one of them, so no relevance.

Quote:SINGAPORE: Construction and property group KSH Holdings said on Monday (Feb 16) its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kim Seng Heng Engineering Construction, has won a S$78.2 million contract to build the proposed 11-storey Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre at Shenton Way.

The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre will include an art gallery, a recital hall, a multi-purpose hall and a 530-seat auditorium, among other facilities. Activities such as arts and cultural performances, conferences and exhibitions will be held at the venue, located next to the Singapore Conference Hall.

Construction is expected to start after Chinese New Year with completion within 89 weeks of commencement, KSH said in a statement.

One thing I find odd is that there is a lot of selling of KSH shares at the current price so its been stuck for a long time. I wonder if its the guy who got the shares from one of the major shareholders in a legal case and who has been unloading in the market or is there some kind of shorting going on. I bought the shares recently and several times I bought from foreign brokers. Does anyone wanna share any info on this?

Anyone here following KSH.
Another undervalued construction and property stock in the same mould as Chip Eng Seng.
But, while CES price has moved up significantly, KSH has been languishing between 50 c and 57 c for nearly a year.
Another one of my "core" holdings.
OCBC has target price of 71 c, which is about where I target my sell
price.
However, it needs some catalyst to move Big Grin
