No worries.
Just be happy guessing.......
There is no right or wrong, till the result is out ( perhaps 28Mar again)
Let's have fun !
Everybody has their rights and valid deductions to make a guess.
May I guess the entire profit for PLS project itself, could yield a return of $250 Mil or more ?
What's yours ?
Agreed, PLS is a good OLD NEWS but more meaningful to talk about it now than ever before. Last time they talked about it and prices move to today's level but they get nothing. Today, we are different. The real harvest has come a long way and has finally arrived.
Last financial report closed on 31 Oct and PLS' TOP was 6 Nov '14.
Office Space sold more than two yrs ago for nearing a Billion $, but only TOP after previous Reporting, where will this huge profit be registered on the book ?
Noting that offices are categorized as commercial property.
Looks like another unique opportunity to trade ?
In the coming two weeks, is there any other equally interesting counter which can offer such excitement in this sluggish market ?
Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
P/S. Our emotions may vary and differ between those who are vested and divested.
Perhaps, it's a just common human behavior but perfectly normal.

This shows how "irrational" Mr Market is. When it feels like reacting to some old news, it just goes up.
If LKH can react to such old news, wait for CES Alex Hotel to TOP in 3 month's time and Mr Market may get a "shock"

While it is true that LKH will be booking huge one-off profits from PL Sq and the DBSS project, it may not be as lucrative as many are hoping for. A friend tried to probe during the last AGM - nothing concrete but it seems that could be mid 100m.
Anyway, LKH mgt has planned well ahead to recycle the anticipated cashflows. Frankly buying Westgate from Capland after selling off PL Sq appears to be indicating their flexibility after somewhat reading the market "incorrectly" on PL Sq.
Last year, there was a disappointing omission of special dividends. Perhaps, LKH mgt is paving way for lower expectations pending the huge one-off accounting booking this year.
I have cashed out my LKH position accumulated mid 40s at mid 60s. Going forward, while I think that LKH have every reason to steer the group they are heading, the bleak outlook for Singapore property market leaves very little room for optimism and with the long term nature of their M'sian landbank together with their new model of rental income from increased holdings of investment properties, investors should be aligning their expectations with mgt's new positioning.
Hoping for one-offs in a changed outlook should be cautioned.

Totally Agreed !
CES numbers are a proven reality ,
While LKH is still a guessing game.
Nevertheless, LKH earnings and Div are poised to shoot through the roof, higher than ever before .
Will its EPS & Div be equally impressive or outdo CES ?
LKH is thrilling .....

Hi Gurus
Need some advice if you may be so kind as to give. Do you think I should keep or sell LKH? I only have 2000 shares. Will there be any special dividend any time soon.
Thank you so much.

May be one of the reasons, for the devastation, is rely on "advice" for investment decision, rather than DIY effort. It make a different to me, and I reckon it will make a different to you too.
I am sorry for your China Oilfield experience, and my best wish for your other investments.
(not vested, and hopefully the advice helps)

Thank you for your very sensible and logical advice.
I never blame anyone for their advice except for myself for making stupid decisions.
Thanks. Still hope for some advice. Have been looking in the net for information found zero for the past 3 days. Last resort is to seek kind advice from gurus here.

Just to share, I dipped my toes a little bit into LKH recently based on views from Value Buddies. Last year's earnings were poor compared to FY13 which was its best year (over last 5), but even then, they paid 3 cents dividends, and my estimate of the Margin of Safety based on FY14 results was pretty high - so I felt safe to get in when market is not enthusiastic. My view is that if we look beyond year to year performance (which is always lumpy for property developers), it should do well in the medium term. Just my two cents worth, but I hasten to reinforce CityFarmer's advice that depending on DIY analysis is still the best.
