The gains on sale of available-for-sale investments is less for 2014.

2013 $528,635
2014 $284,257

But, lousy is kind of harsh since the yield is 7.2% with no debt at group level and NAV of 30cts?

It has 2 investments listed in 4Q, seems like not reflected yet (still holding?).....

Available-for-sale investments
4,919,263 (2014)
4,511,114 (2013)

The increase of 408m there looks like those investments. Probably each investment around 200m invested.

Revenue
NT$'000
2014 2013
Greater China 5 39,470 563,986
United States (36,989) 150,285
Other countries 31,647 422
Total 5 34,128 714,693

Seems to have lost money in US investments this year which is unexpected as most co. with USA business have been doing quite well.

However div. income remains stable @ NTD 179.5m despite slowdown in China, that's SGD 0.76c recurring cash, which contributes to 5% div yield already. Total EPS was NT 26c of which almost all(NT 25.8c) is being paid out.

NAV - SGD 0.294 (SGD 0.29 last year, stable)
Cash Eq - SGD 45.861m (29.71% net cash)

Stable year given slowdown in China.

At current share price still plenty of MOS. Continue to park some funds here.

10 : 1 consolidation. So will trade around $1.50 after that happens. make sure dun have any lots less than 1000shares or you will end up with odd-lots.

Then it happened!

The 1st co that taking the honour of consolidating its shares to comply with the SGX 20ct par ruling.

Soon many sub 20ct counters will follow suit.Undecided

Wonder what the hurry in the case of Hotung?

This year dividend around 1.11 cents. lower than last year so this year peak will not be as high as 16.4 cents last year.

Last year same thing happened. After results announced, price dropped but climb slowly to peak before XD

Last year 26 Feb results announced, price drop(refer to red arrow above) but then slowly climb up to around 16.4 cents, which was around the initial price of 15 cents + 1.29 cents dividend.

Since this year dividend is 1.11 cents, so peak will be around 15 cents + 1.11 cents = around 16 cents peak, lower than last year peak of 16.4 cents.. but still quite attractive at 7.4% yield at current price of 15.1 cents. So must keep for 2 mths or u can collect dividend then sell at around 15+ cents XD
